Lead Scientist (Method Validation)

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple validation studies and complex projects to meet scientific objectives and agreed timelines
  • Provide expert scientific guidance and training to junior team members
  • Communicate progress and escalate challenges to managers, project teams and customers
  • Lead troubleshooting and out‑of‑specification investigations
  • Review and improve protocols, SOPs, presentations and reports
  • Build strong customer relationships by representing Lonza’s scientific capabilities
  • Drive innovation and support continuous improvement within the Method Validation team

Requirements

  • Experience as an analytical scientist in protein analytics
  • Strong knowledge of analytical method validation aligned with ICH guidelines
  • Ability to present scientific information clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Understanding of regulatory and GMP requirements
  • Proven project or study management skills
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Commitment to developing others and contributing to a positive team culture
