At SP Energy Networks, our focus is on harnessing technology and innovation to create the networks of the future. Our teams are delivering a smarter, more resilient and dynamic network to meet the increasing demand for electricity—powered by more renewable energy than ever before—and doing so safely, securely and sustainably for the communities we serve.

Due to continued growth and the significant level of investment across our Transmission business, we have opportunities for Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to join us at a truly exciting time. Within SPEN’s HVDC business, we are constructing and developing a number of high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea electricity links, delivered and operated by SP Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET).

Working as a key part of our project teams, you’ll oversee a range of commercial activities from preparing and evaluating tenders for significant packages of work; to administering extremely high value contracts throughout construction.  You will be expected to work with a range of contracts, including bespoke EPC FIDIC contracts, as well as NEC4 contracts.  Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll play a key part in enabling the energy transition while helping shape the future of critical national infrastructure.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (consultancy or contracting).

Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of procurement and cost management.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.

MRICS status (Desirable)

Familiarity with a range of Contract forms including FIDIC and NEC3/NEC4.
