Responsibilities

  • Degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical) is preferred but not essential if the candidate can
  • The jobholder will be expected to have a sound knowledge and understanding of the grid regulatory framework, particularly the Connection and Use of System Code (and related codes), a sufficient relevant appreciation of the GB Grid and European Network Codes and an overall understanding of the UK and Ireland regulatory and code governance framework.
  • Experience and proven ability to support and develop collaboration with internal departments including Project Delivery, Operations, O&M Services, Commercial Development, Global Energy Management, Policy, Risk & Assurance and Legal in support of grid and regulatory processes.
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation skills essential.
  • Experience in performing and interpreting complex financial analysis to enable data and information to be presented to executive brief standard
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships to analyse business challenges and opportunities
  • Effective forward planning and management of own workload and that of indirect reports
  • Ability to prepare and analyse substantial reports, including weekly/monthly updates, whilst also able to manage
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting timelines/deadlines
  • Ability to work across the organisation with a multi-disciplinary team, with range of peers or “out of line” personnel to achieve outcomes/results
