• We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our PostgreSQL Developer Experience team. This team's mission is bold and clear: Make building modern apps effortless, backed by the world's most resilient Postgres database.
• As a Software engineering expert, you'll transform complex PostgreSQL features into elegant, intuitive interfaces for developers. You'll move with urgency and a bias for action, while exercising sound judgment to balance innovation, risk, and opportunity against release schedules and ambitious project scope.
• Our back-end systems are mostly implemented in Python, with bits of Go and C.
• In this role, you're not just executing - you're shaping the PostgreSQL experience for developers, making it delightful, discoverable, and effortless to adopt.
• What You'll Do:Deliver E2E Developer Experience: Take ownership of the technical implementation across the full user journey - from onboarding and data migration to sustained usage, developer satisfaction, and growth opportunities.
• Obsess Over Usage Data: Instrument and monitor product usage to understand developer behavior, identify friction points, and drive data-informed improvements.
• Experiment & Iterate Quickly: Work in short cycles, shipping prototypes and features rapidly to test adoption and improve the experience.
• Work Across a Modern Codebase: Collaborate on a stack where back-end systems are primarily Python, with components in Go and C.
