Job Description
The Cash Allocation Specialist is responsible for posting and applying multi-currency customer receipts to customer accounts on a daily basis, ensuring all payments are accurately allocated and processed in a timely manner. The role involves investigating and resolving customer cash allocation queries, including discrepancies and unidentified payments, to ensure balances are correctly reflected.
The Cash Allocation Specialist is expected to meet tight deadlines while managing a high volume of payment postings with a consistently high level of accuracy and efficiency. This includes performing thorough analysis to identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, overpayments, and unapplied cash items.
The role requires working cross-functionally with internal teams, such as Collections, Billing, and Finance, to resolve cash posting issues and ensure timely resolution of payment-related matters.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically less than one year of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Basic knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
Basic knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
