Testing Engineer

The software team is the core of Garmin Jyväskylä's R&D efforts, delivering new features and solutions that Garmin users have come to know and love. We work closely with Data Science and other R&D teams, turning physiological research and UX visions into embedded libraries that bring algorithms to life in software running on wearable devices.
We are looking for Testing Engineer to support our testing efforts, by being the point of contact between testers and Garmin development teams, providing them with insight about the features to be tested, supporting them with all aspects of Garmin device usage (including installation of test builds) and collecting feedback from testers to help improve Garmin products.
Main responsibilities
Main interface between external testers and Garmin Jyväskylä Development teams
Test device pool management
Publishing test releases, uploading builds to alpha testers, and making build announcements
Gathering feedback and alpha tester inputs, and reporting internally to the project management, physiology, and software teams
Ownership of the resolution process for issues reported by external testers
What we look for in a candidate
Must have good interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Good oral and written communication skills in English and Finnish
Experience with issue tracking systems (JIRA)
