In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing the UK Casualty Strategy to deliver sustainable profit within target appetite and underwriting controls and governance. This will include:

How you will make an impact

Responsible for production and profitability through targeted Must Win Battles in collaboration with the London Casualty/Specialty Lines Manager & UK Head of Casualty.

Responsible for driving AIG Multiline proposition including broker initiatives and AIG Retail growth strategy.

Understand and drive the AIG Value Proposition to clients and brokers by integrating claims, risk engineering and multinational capabilities into day to day underwriting practices.

Day to day leadership of the underwriting teams allocated by the business.

Drive consistent underwriting best practices and adherence to underwriting guidelines and pricing guardrails in UK Casualty, while acknowledging and collaborating with the London Casualty/Specialty Lines Manager & UK Head of Casualty

Ensure audits, quality reviews and peer reviews are robustly monitored and measured, including implementation of action steps to improve underwriting results ensuring adherence to risk appetite, line setting, standards and guidelines, and ensure rating and pricing adequacy, in collaboration with the London Casualty Manager & Head of UK Casualty.

Oversee portfolio management to direct strategic underwriting decisions to ensure financial and underwriting objectives are achieved in collaboration with the London Casualty & Specialty Lines Manager & UK Head of Casualty

Ensure a culture of collaboration across product lines and distribution in the wider UK Casualty teams.

Ensure collaboration and communication with the London Retail Manager to meet the collective General Casualty Objectives set by the business.

Ensure we are leveraging our broker partnerships to meet our targets at all levels.

Develop, coach, mentor the wider London Casualty team in terms of skills and technical capability.

Drive a culture that promotes collaboration, diversity and inclusion.

Assisting in shaping and developing AIG underwriting policies, practices and procedures in relation to Loss Sensitive/Risk Managed (RM) accounts.
