Your Role and Responsibilities

We are now looking for a new Quality Specialist to join our team at ABB Oy, Smart Power in Vaasa. As a Quality Specialist you will be responsible for developing processes through the whole supply chain from the supplier to customer. Your main role is to act as an active and co-operative driver inside the manufacturing factory ensuring continuous quality development. In this position, you will be working cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and operations, playing a key role in the quality processes of the world's leading automated low-voltage switch factory.

Please note that to best support our supplier collaboration, this position includes travel (approximately 30 days annually).

Additionally, you will be accountable for:

Controlling and continuously developing quality in specific production lines

Perform supplier audits to verify compliance with internal/external requirements

Taking responsibility for technical reclamations in specific product groups utilizing AI

Providing quality training to local teams, enabling them to define and document processes that are efficient and controlled

Monitoring and reporting supplier quality KPIs and targets, creating official customer reports as well as handling root cause analysis (RCA) for supplier quality issues

Developing and verifying corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA)while driving continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers (Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA)

Qualifications for the Role
