Junior Freight Forwarder (Sea)
About this role
We’re looking for a Junior Freight Forwarder to join growing Finland team at 3PLGROUP.
This role is a great entry point into international logistics: you’ll get hands-on experience in sea freight operations, working closely with customers, agents and partners across different markets.
You’ll be involved in everything from shipment coordination and documentation to tracking, quoting and basic invoicing, learning how the full process works in real life, not just in theory.
This is an on-site role in Espoo, where you’ll work side-by-side with experienced colleagues and quickly build your skills, with a clear path to grow into a full Freight Forwarder role.
About the Role:
Handle operational tasks for sea (and some air) freight.
Track shipments using carrier web portals and proactively update internal systems and customers/suppliers.
Support pricing and quoting to agents and customers; prepare basic quotations under guidance.
Input data into invoicing/ERP systems and support billing processes.
Communicate with customers, agents, carriers and suppliers by phone and email; escalate issues when needed.
Assist with load arrangements, shipment bookings and coordination of day-to-day operational flows.
Cover for colleagues during vacations and support ad-hoc tasks to keep operations running.
About 3PLGROUP
You’re early in your career with 1–2 years of experience in sea freight or logistics operations, and ready to grow further. You already understand the basics of freight forwarding and want to grow into a full forwarder role. You’re proactive, organized and able to handle multiple tasks without losing attention to detail. You take ownership, get things done and aren’t afraid to ask questions when needed. You enjoy communicating with customers, partners and suppliers, and feel confident reaching out. You speak English confidently and Finnish is a must.
