Role Description
As a Senior Lecturer, your duties will include teaching robotics and automation technology, primarily on-campus. Your responsibilities also encompass pedagogical design, including the preparation of online learning materials and the planning of laboratory and project work.
In this role, you will play an active part in designing and developing our curriculum to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the modern workforce. Additionally, your duties may involve participating in various multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with industrial partners.
Working Environment
You will be based at the Myyrmäki campus within the School of Smart Solutions competence area, where we focus heavily on technological innovations to solve the challenges of the future.
Your primary teaching responsibilities will be in our English-language Bachelor's degree programs: Smart Automation and Robotics Engineering, which welcome nearly 100 motivated students annually. You may also participate in teaching in other degree programs at the Myyrmäki campus.
Please note: Proficiency in the Finnish language is not required for this position.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- At least a Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Diverse professional experience (minimum of three years) specifically in robotics, as well as automation technology.
- Fluency in English.
- Desired Attributes:
- A passion for teaching and the development of pedagogically sound instruction methods.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A doctoral degree is considered an advantage.
