Position Overview
We are recruiting summer part-time teachers to work at an international study and learning camp in Helsinki. The role involves delivering activity-based courses for international students, with a strong focus on Finnish culture, nature, creativity, and well-being. This position is well suited for qualified school teachers as well as students currently studying in teacher education programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate activity-based courses for international students at the study camp
- Design and deliver engaging learning experiences in one or more of the following areas:
- Finnish Language and Culture
- Nature Education and Outdoor Learning
- Cooking and Food Education
- Handicrafts and Creative Making
- Sports and Physical Activities
- Visual Arts or Music
- Support students’ learning through hands-on activities, teamwork, and experiential learning
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
- Collaborate with camp staff and international colleagues during the program period
- Qualification Requirements
- Qualified school teachers or students currently enrolled in teacher education programs are welcome to apply
- Interest or experience in activity-based, experiential, or informal education
- Ability to teach and communicate fluently in English
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working with international students or youth is considered an advantage
- Availability to work from late June to mid August
