Warranty and Service Programs (WSP) provides insurance solutions for large organizations such as manufacturers, retailers, telecom operators & financial institutions who are looking to offer tailor made insurance products to their customers.

The

Business Development Manager WSP Germany (f/m/x)

will be responsible for the achievement of ambitious profitable growth objectives through the strategic development of new business opportunities in line with AIG’s risk appetite.

You will define and implement the WSP Germany sales strategy to increase our market share, focusing on large Germany based manufacturers, retailers, telecom operators & financial institutions. You will be part of AIG WSP European team and report to AIG DACH WSP Manager.

What you need to know:

The

Business Development Manager Warranty and Service programs Germany (f/m/x)

will

Determine clear business development strategies outlining short-, medium- and longer-term opportunities for growth.

Drive a strong pipeline of new opportunities that meet AIG’s risk appetite and profitability targets focusing on large Germany based corporates in selected industries, looking to implement insurance and service programs in multiple counties.

Drive ambitious top line and bottom-line growth of the WSP product line in close collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders in Germany.

Represent AIG’s Warranty & Service Program on the market with key clients and brokers as an ambassador for product innovation, including the participation as a speaker to conferences.

What we’re looking for:

A proven track record of delivering profitable growth in a sizable and relevant general insurance product line in the German market.

A proven knowledge of the Affinity / Warranty Service Programs scene in Germany, its evolution and an important network in Affinity / WSP.

A proven track record of successful pipeline development in Affinity/ Warranty Service Programs industry in Germany.

Strong sales/relationship management, and a business development (Hunting) experience.

Good understanding of industry specific business issues and drivers

Track record of interacting and building relationship with C-level clients.

Strong Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to work across interdisciplinary teams that are geographically dispersed.

Knowledge and experience in reinsurance and a robust captives network would be a great add-on

A tertiary qualification/degree in a business discipline along insurance qualifications.

Fluent in German and English
