To achieve above ambition and timely sustainable market access & pricing across our global geography footprint requires to enhance our Global Access-Pricing capabilities to recruit a global Access & Pricing lead for Endocrinology

Alexion Astrazeneca’s Rare Disease Global Value Access and Pricing (GVAP) team is seeking a qualified Director to be part of a dynamic and growing team with responsibility for key program (s) with near term new product launches and label expansions.
As a key team member within the GVAP Team you will lead the development and execution of the
global value, access and price strategies for Eneboparatide & hypoparathyroidism pipeline
to support patient access to our medicines.
This is a strategic role requiring an ability to shape a global value, access and pricing strategy for Eneboparatide & hypoparathyroidism pipeline across the diversity of our US/Japan/ EU key rare diseases markets.
The ideal candidate for this role has an in depth understanding and application of payer’s HTA & reimbursement eco-systems for Rare diseases/oncology medicines in US/Japan/ EU key markets as well as a robust experience in developing access, pricing and reimbursement strategies within competitive environment.

Keep up to date with scientific developments, bringing the latest techniques and analyses to build the strongest possible

in context of rare diseases evidence larger uncertainty and competiiton
Influence
Clinical Development Programs
of
Endocrinology assets portfolio
to ensure that endpoints and evidence generation plans (i.e. clinical, economic, and humanistic outcomes) are incorporated to support optimized patient access
& match payer needs
. This includes securing timely country input of endpoints and evidence generation plans in priority target countries.
Provide support to GMMA commercial team
to realize asset progress through governance milestones focused on market access potential, evidence, and TPP requirements.
Access
Lead a cross functional team to
drive
hypoparathyroidism
Global market access
and pricing strategies and activities in close partnership with country access representatives.
Lead the assessment
of P&R risks and opportunities
& implementation of corresponding mitigation actions
specific to
Eneboparatide launch
& hypoparathyroidism.
Create and roll out of strategic value, access and pricing communication tools and materials to support local P&R submissions and negotiations such as pricing frameworks, negotiation strategy & toolkits, etc. per the enterprise-wide launch framework.
Lead developm
ent of global reimbursement dossier
and overall across function market access readiness hypoparathyroidism plans in close collaboration with target key countries and support global functions (HeoR, medical, commercial),
Represent GVAP perspective and strategy across various cross-functional teams (including Global Program Teams, Global Launch Teams) and provide updates and guidance to local teams, as necessary.
Understand
& incorporate
the patient perspective of the disease and recommend strategies that can support the patient voice in key payer negotiations.
Pricing
Develop
Eneboparatide launch
& hypoparathyroidism
therapies pricing strategy.
Conduct payer and value assessments
to identify key market specific P&R drivers and barriers to develop differentiated value propositions, inform evidence generation plans, regulatory strategy and development decisions.
Targeting the top 8 rare diseases markets, Lead and co-create market level P&R strategies
and support P&R submissions and negotiations to drive positive outcomes.
Review P&R cases submitted by markets. Support markets in maintaining value while unlocking local access.
Offer critical strategic inputs to inform access and pricing assumptions, creating accurate, market-driven LTP assumptions.
Communicate frequently and effectively with GMMA senior leadership, and other identified stakholders, particularly in relation to
Eneboparatide launch
& hypoparathyroidism portfolio P&R strategy.
You will need to have:
Demonstrate leadership and ability to take initiative and consistently deliver high-quality work
in the context of rare diseases evidence larger uncertainty and competiton.
Ability to Communicate effectively and translating science into compelling payer value story benefits to Alexion leadership and other identified stakeholders including close collaboration local market access colleagues and with the Commercial Launch Excellence function.
Experience working on evidence-based innovative value solutions, e.g. through working with local payers in EU or commercial customers in the US.
Relevant Graduate degree eg. PhD, PharmD, biomedical science, business, or economics.
Highly specialized rare disease/
oncology
market access experience.
Relevant drug development and/or commercialization experience within the pharmaceutical/medical industry of greater than 6 years.
Knowledge of the needs and expectations of national and regional payers, insurers, and commercial customers in our strategic markets (
US, Japan, top 4 EU).
Knowledge and experience in key markets (e.g. DE, IT, SP, FR, UK) are appreciated.
