Position Overview:
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for directed energy and counter-drone defense systems.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics.
- Create 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and performance requirements.
- Support the development of the 70-acre test and demonstration facility in Helsinki.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in defense, aerospace, or related industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
