We are now inviting applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) position in Preparedness and Resilience. The position will be filled as a fixed-term position under the tenure track system.

Job description and requirements

The field of activity is preparedness and resilience . The work tasks of the position are located in University's Public Policy and Governance research group and connected to the Preparedness and Resilience Research Platform.

The research profile focuses on key themes related to preparedness and resilience within the broad domain of public policy and governance, including, but not limited to the following topics:The resilience of public institutions in a complex operational environment

Crisis management and governance as part of societal preparedness

Developing normative steering to enhance preparedness

Safeguarding democracy, legitimacy, and the rule of law in crises

Comprehensive security and civil preparedness

Situational awareness and intelligence research

The research related to the position is also linked to the University of Vaasa's strategic focus areas of business renewal, energy transition and societal transformation. Applicants must describe in their research plan how their plan relates to the research group and the strategy of the University of Vaasa.
