The work
At IQM, we are building the standard for Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) in a rapidly evolving industry. This Legal Counsel role plays a key part in enabling the commercialisation of quantum computing by supporting the sales team with robust, scalable, and practical legal frameworks. The position focuses on ensuring that QCaaS agreements, regulatory requirements, and legal practices are aligned with business needs, enabling customers to access quantum computing while maintaining strong risk management and compliance standards.
What you'll actually doDraft, review, and negotiate QCaaS agreements, ensuring consistency, scalability, and commercial practicality
Develop and maintain legal practices and frameworks related to QCaaS offerings
Own and manage regulations closely linked to QCaaS, including areas such as data privacy (e.g. GDPR) in collaboration with external experts
Partner with internal security and technology teams to ensure agreements accurately reflect product capabilities and customer requirements
Support complex customer engagements, including those with security clearance or specific regulatory needs
Provide clear, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders, enabling efficient decision-making and deal execution
Contribute to the development of legal standards that support the growth of QCaaS and the wider quantum computing ecosystem
Drive alignment between legal, commercial, and technical teams
