About this role

Do you want to work hands‑on with advanced power electronics at the core of modern energy systems, where power electronics and control systems are developed, tested, and validated in applications? We are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer who wants to take technical ownership and develop solutions that directly impact how energy is converted, controlled, and delivered.

As a Power Electronics Engineer in our Linköping team, you will take responsibility for developing robust and efficient power electronics solutions. You will work from early concept through prototyping, testing, and deployment, close to both hardware and control systems. Your work will contribute to reliable energy conversion, stable grid integration, and overall system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of power electronics systems and components for turbine and energy conversion applications.
  • Design, integrate, and test controllers, rectifiers, inverters, and related electrical subsystems.
  • Ensure efficient and stable grid integration and power distribution.
  • Develop and implement MPPT strategies to maximize power extraction under varying operating conditions.
  • Create and use simulation models (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink) to analyze and optimize electrical and control systems.
  • Support generator selection and define requirements to ensure compatibility with power electronics and grid demands.
  • Contribute hands‑on to prototype development, testing, validation, and iterative improvement.
  • Document design decisions, assumptions, revisions, and engineering recommendations.
  • Your technical bakgrund
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Around 5 years of experience in power electronics, energy conversion, or renewable energy systems.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with prototype development, testing, and iteration.
  • Solid understanding of grid integration, power distribution, and three‑phase power systems
