Are you passionate about precision and safety in engineering? We are looking for a talented Engineer to join our dynamic team at KONE Europe Supply Chain. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and ensuring the safety and functionality of our elevator systems.
In this role you'll have an opportunity to collaborate closely with our engineering teams, KONE R&D, tendering and supply management, production and KONE Front Lines. We expect you to work with the stakeholders and be able to ensure reliable and cost-competitive solutions for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and translate them into feasible technical solutions
- Support customer projects during the tendering phase by providing platform-level technical solutions and feasibility studies
- Work as part of cross-functional customer project team, and supporting stakeholders throughout the tendering phase
- Lead and contribute to development projects within Europe Engineering
- Train and support other engineers and stakeholders by sharing your deep technical expertise
- Required skills and experience
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent area
- Understanding of elevator systems and sub-systems
- Self-driven team player with strong collaboration, networking and influencing skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-founded decisions
- Customer orientation and innovation skills
- Good skills in English
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Following skills are an asset
- Experience of Lean, Six sigma and Agile practices and ways of working
- Excellent 2D AutoCAD skills
- Experience working in Microsoft 365 environment is expected
