IT Sourcing Manager

IT Procurement, aligned with Valmet's IT strategy and IT transformation requirements, ensures that our supplier and services portfolio, along with technology procurement, supports cost efficiency, transparency, faster value delivery, and digital value creation. Key activities are Sourcing, Procurement and Vendor management, working in close operation with IT organization and other stakeholders as well as with present and future vendors.

Your responsibilities

IT Sourcing and IT Procurement

Develop and execute IT sourcing strategies aligned with IT Transformation requirements

Identify and realize cost-saving opportunities across IT domains and services

Lead competitive bidding processes and vendor evaluations

Negotiate contracts, renewals, and any other IT related agreements

Collaborate and co-create with relevant internal and external stakeholders

Keep updated on technology, market trends, emerging vendors, new commercial models, and disruptions

Oversee contract lifecycle from negotiation through renewal or termination

Vendor performance management

Manage and develop relationships with key technology suppliers and service providers

Follow and manage vendor performance with stakeholders

Ensure compliance with contracts, policies and other requirements, assess vendor risks

Participate in selected governance bodies

Support developing vendor performance management practices further

Possibility and expectation to develop the function and influence on developing your own role according to your experience and expertise

Who is the professional we are looking for?

5+ years of relevant work experience with proven results

Good understanding and experience in IT services, market and contracting

Good negotiation and influencing as well as communication and presentations skills

Entrepreneurial attitude with self-motivated, responsible, and proactive way of working
