Job Overview:
The client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with strong Azure expertise to support the development of a modern financial solution for claims payment processing.
The project involves building a new finance-focused platform that replaces a legacy claims payment module. This new system is designed to meet evolving regulatory requirements across multiple markets and plays a critical role in calculating payouts, generating financial documents, and integrating with enterprise systems.
The solution operates within a distributed, event-driven architecture and leverages modern cloud technologies, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance. The selected consultant will be actively involved in designing, developing, and enhancing backend services while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
- Contribute to the evolution of a finance-oriented platform by implementing new features and enhancing existing capabilities.
- Collaborate with architects and team members to ensure alignment with hexagonal architecture and event-driven design principles.
- Integrate backend services with external systems, including financial platforms, document management systems, and EDI solutions.
- Develop and maintain APIs for document handling, status tracking, and system communication.
- Ensure reliable processing workflows, including support for restartable processes and message re-delivery mechanisms.
- Work with Azure cloud services such as Event Hub, Storage, and Cosmos DB to build robust and scalable solutions.
- Implement secure communication protocols, including message queue integrations with appropriate authentication mechanisms.
