By bridging the gap between academic discovery and industrial application, IHB facilitates the rapid translation of groundbreaking science into patient-focused solutions.

The Opportunity

As a

Post Doctorate Scientist in Intestinal Inflammation

at the IHB, you will focus on deconstructing inflammatory bowel disease pathobiology using advanced human model systems.

The duration of the position is initially set for two years, with the possibility of extension. You will be based in Basel, Switzerland. In this position you will:

Drive a project to create high fidelity

in vitro

models of inflammatory bowel disease, by combining primary human samples, organoids, tissue-resident/infiltrating immune cells and microfabrication technology to recreate the cellular environment of the diseased intestine

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve the ability of

in vitro

models to 1) recapitulate inflammatory disease, 2) understand the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms, 3) identify strategies to mitigate these pathogenic pathways

Generate top quality results for high-impact publications
