About the role

In this role you will control and actively steer financial risks arising from Fortum's businesses as well as develop, maintain and embed robust financial risk frameworks covering market, credit, liquidity and financing risks. You will proactively support senior decision-makers and strengthen financial risk, governance, processes and culture across the Group.

Key responsibilities might include but not be limited to

Take Group and Corporate Risk ownership of financial risk responsibilities across defined portfolios and business areas, linking risk assessments to P&L and balance sheet impact in line with the Risk Appetite Statement.

Manage development and maintenance of Fortum's financial risk frameworks, including risk instructions, hedging guidelines, mandates and interfaces with Business Units and Treasury.

Lead financial risk internal control processes and ensure high-quality, audit-ready evidence, effective remediation of findings and continuous process improvement.

Provide senior decision support through recurring and ad-hoc analyses (e.g. exposures, stress and scenario analysis, hedge effectiveness, credit and collateral assessments).

Take ownership of group steering for, and support development of, Group Risk appetite Statement applications in the business, ensuring methodological soundness and transparency.

Be a recognized financial risk expert and advisor, simplifying complex risk topics into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
