new Account Managers for Oncology
in Belgium, one for the North Flemish region and one for the South French-speaking region.

Purpose of the role
The Oncology Account Manager (AM) is part of the Oncology Business Unit Belgium & Luxembourg, which consists of several Oncology Franchises. Both Oncology Account Managers we are hiring will be part of the Breast/Gynecological/Gastro-intestinal (BC/GYN/GI) cancers franchise while supporting the GU/Melanoma/Head and Neck Cancer franchise, and will be reporting to the BC/GYN/GI Franchise Lead. The Oncology AMs will be the point of contact for our company for GI and Melanoma, each for their assigned region and accounts. This role is a field-based position.
As Oncology AM you will be responsible for building strong customer relationships and becoming their trusted partner in oncology. You will be delivering value to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and manage sales and business activities in your allocated accounts and region. You will be responsible for driving product sales growth in your region and drive overall market share.
Primary responsibilities
Build and maintain long-term partnerships with customers and KSLs, through individual visits, sales meetings, promotional lectures and participation in congresses and educational events
Ensure tailored account management for your assigned territory by identifying high potential accounts, identifying KSLs and do relevant SL mapping, understanding the patient journey and know how each key stakeholder is involved and influences treatment decisions per account
Engage in balanced product sales discussions with HCPs to align customer and business needs in accordance with business prioritization and marketing strategies
Work closely together with accounts in your region to identify collaborative opportunities with hospitals in your region
Identify drivers and barriers in your territory and pro-actively share relevant feedback with the brand and customer managers and franchise leads, to ensure an optimal understanding of the market and to drive the marketing and sales strategy
Regularly monitor business performance against objectives to ensure sales targets are reached
Stay up-to date on the latest product and therapeutic area information for all allocated portfolio indications by attending internal scientific and product trainings, conferences and symposia, as well as by self-study
Drive tailored customer engagements, by using data and analytics to better understand the customer’s preference and by properly balancing physical and digital engagements based on the customer needs/preferences
Work hand-in-hand with the cross-functional team by regularly sharing relevant stakeholder insights and feedback to unleash business opportunities
Provide support to the marketing team by reviewing materials and provide feedback to take into account customer’s needs
Manage allocated sales sponsorship budget
Demonstrating highest ethical principles conducting Local law, Our Company SOPs and regulations
Your profile
Bachelor or University degree in Life Sciences or another relevant discipline with healthcare curriculum from an accredited university
Minimum of 2 years of healthcare industry experience
Previous oncology experience and/or scientific knowledge in oncology is preferred
Experience in sales and/or account management is required
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Ability to work in a very complex and rapidly evolving setting
Be able to translate detailed medical and business content into balanced messages
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt your engagement style to different customer types and to influence without authority
Open for innovation and experimentation
Fluent in conversational and written Dutch (Flemish region AM) or French (South region AM); English conversational skills is required
Valid driver’s license
