This is a full-time, permanent role based in Helsinki. Like elsewhere at OP Pohjola, we work flexibly, combining office days with remote work in Finland.

At OP Pohjola, your work directly impacts the daily lives of millions of Finns. You won't just be maintaining systems; you will be building the secure, scalable Azure foundation for Finland's largest financial organization. The Lead Developer role combines hands-on development with architectural leadership, focusing on modernizing the platform using Azure-native services, strengthening data governance, and ensuring alignment with banking regulatory frameworks.

This position plays a central role in technical direction, developer coaching, collaboration with stakeholders, and building a reliable infrastructure foundation. The ideal candidate can balance pragmatic decision-making with long-term architectural thinking.

Key responsibilities in this role:

Design and operate Azure-based and hybrid cloud network environments, ensuring capacity, scalability, and resilience.

Ensure platform reliability and operational excellence across monitoring, logging, alerting, cost optimization, and incident management.

Drive automation and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bicep, and related tooling.
