Your Role & Key Responsibilities

In this role

,

you

are responsible

for

ensuring

the technical

infrastructure

and cont

in

uous data flow

needed

for the

integration

of our

shopfloor

apps

with

our

customers

production lines

.

You will join the

Customer Success Department

and closely interact and collaborate with the entire

FactoryPal

Team, which delivers our SaaS solution to the customer.

Also

,

you

will

work in close cooperation and alignment with the digital service and engineering team

s

of

our associated

Valmet

entities.

Design, configure, and

maintain

data acquisition systems and interfaces across industrial devices (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems,

MES, ERP,

sensors), ensuring alignment with the IEC 62443 /

ISA99

Purdue model.

Set up and manage

IIoT

gateways and data pipelines, supporting secure and scalable integrations with cloud platforms.

Provide service and support for existing deployments of our solution in close coordination with

FactoryPal’s

service & support team.

Apply strong data lifecycle management practices, including continuous system monitoring, diagnostics, and structured incident response.

Identify

and evaluate emerging edge and ML solutions that can better meet customer challenges and strengthen the

FactoryPal

offering.

Your Experience & Key Skills

1–2 years of experience in industrial automation or IIoT roles (internships included).

Thorough

understanding of industrial automation concepts and exposure to PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs,

MES

,

ERP,

or industrial sensors.

Solid grasp

of how data acquisition systems and edge devices work, with some familiarity using tools or platforms that collect and process industrial data.

Foundational knowledge of

IIoT

or networking communication principles; exposure to protocols like MQTT, HTTP, Modbus, or OPC UA is a plus.

Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python or SQL).

Strong communication

and documentation habits, with the ability to collaborate in cross

functional teams and learn from both OT and IT stakeholders.

High

level

of social competence and

good communication

skills in dealing with customers and suppliers

.

You are open to regular customer contact and flexible travel requirements, averaging around 20–30% and occasionally reaching up to 50%.

Your English

is

fluent, other language

skills are

a plus

.
