About the Assignment We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for an assignment in a modern digital environment focused on scalable services, integrations, and operational excellence. You will work hands-on with microservices, APIs, observability, and ITSM-related processes, contributing to both development and market rollout activities. Job DescriptionDesign and build microservices and orchestration services Develop and maintain synchronous REST APIs and asynchronous integrations Perform code reviews and contribute to high-quality engineering practices Work with authentication and authorization based on OAuth Improve observability through logs, metrics, and traces Tune performance across services and integrations Support rollout activities and operational needs RequirementsStrong experience in Java and Spring Boot Hands-on expertise in building orchestration services Practical experience implementing OAuth-based authentication and authorization Proven experience developing synchronous APIs using REST Proven experience with asynchronous integrations such as Solace, Kafka, JMS, or similar Solid understanding of observability, including logs, metrics, traces, and tools such as ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry Good working knowledge of SQL, including schema design, data modelling, and query optimization Strong unit testing skills, for example JUnit and Mockito Familiarity with microservices best practices, CI/CD, testing, and performance tuning Strong working experience in ServiceNow and ITSM Ability to support market rollouts Nice to haveStrong hands-on ITSM experience in rollout and operations Previous experience working in an online service environment Application Selections are made on an ongoing basis, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
