Senior Hardware Design Engineer
About this role
The Opportunity
As a Hardware Design Engineer within HVDC Service, you will play a key role in the upgrades of our HVDC installations. Your work will include designing control cabinets containing computers and circuit boards for measurement, control, and calculations.
This is a broad role that also includes:
Site visits and technical support to the workshop (FST)
Development of overview drawings
Process development and continuous improvement
Coordination with other departments and project teams

Design hardware solutions for our control and protection systems
Create layouts and circuit diagrams, including cable and component calculations
Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure high-quality deliveries
Develop work methods together with engineering colleagues across disciplines
Participate in international upgrade projects – see your technology make a global impact
Plan and organize your work in close collaboration with the project team
Your Background
At least 6 years working experience in a similar field.
Experience with CAD tools.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
Communicative, outgoing, and curious
Proficient in Swedish and English
Experience in the electrical industry (e.g., electrician) is an advantage
