Marketplace Performance Manager (m/f/d) - Hamburg

About this role

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Head of Marketplace Performance, you will support and steer the performance of our marketplaces, focusing on demand and supply activation, engagement and retention in the most effective and efficient way.
• In collaboration with the Marketplace Performance Team and Local Markets, you will monitor marketplace health on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, identifying criticalities, addressing issues and proposing concrete actions to optimise performance across 3 to 5 markets under your scope.
• You will be responsible for planning and implementing the weekly investment strategy for rider and driver incentives. This includes allocating budget between demand and supply, designing specific actions and targeting, and setting clear expectations on impact and return in collaboration with Local Markets.
• You will report on weekly marketplace performance, assessing progress versus expectations, evaluating initiative results and adjusting setups, allocations and actions for the upcoming week to ensure optimal performance.
• You will support the MPP Tech Lead on product and tech initiatives related to pricing, allocation and incentive optimisation. This includes proposing and planning new ideas, preparing A/B tests, running and analysing experiments, and working closely with the relevant Product Manager and Product Analyst.
• You will support the Head of Marketplace Performance with business casing, planning, target settings, and general performance reporting, contributing analytical depth and structured thinking to strategic topics.
• You will challenge existing ways of working and identify improved processes, approaches and actions that enhance the efficiency and impact of the Marketplace Performance Team.
• Degree in Business Administration/Management, Economics, Engineering or similar fields
• 3+ years of work experience in analytical, strategy or performance roles
• Strong plus:
• Ridehailing / Micromobility / Food delivery industry knowledge and experience
• Experience working for a marketplace business or building a business
• Experience managing multi stream projects and coordinating cross functional stakeholders
• Analytic & business sense skills:
• Strong analytical background with practical experience in SQL, data visualisation tools and experimentation
• Experience running A/B tests and performing statistical analysis
