<p>ReOrbit is looking for a motivated and experienced Structural Analysis Engineer&nbsp;to join our growing team at our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, or our new office&nbsp;in Bristol, UK.<br><br>You will be responsible for the structural analysis of spacecraft structures and&nbsp;development of internal tools for the evaluation and post-processing of the&nbsp;analysis and test results.<br><br>It is an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a&nbsp;real impact and reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer.<br><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities<br></strong></p><ul><li><p>Creation of mathematical structural models using the finite element method&nbsp;(FEM).</p></li><li><p>Carrying out static and dynamic analyses of satellites and their subsystems.</p></li><li><p>Condensation of finite element models using the Craig-Bampton method.</p></li><li><p>Bolted joints verification according to ECSS-HB-32-23 and VDI-2230.</p></li><li><p>Definition of test plans and procedures, perform test predictions and test-model correlations.</p></li><li><p>Collaboration with mechanical design, thermal and system engineers.</p></li><li><p>Contribution to technical exchanges with suppliers and customers.</p></li><li><p>Development of internal tools for the evaluation and post-processing of&nbsp;the&nbsp;analysis and test results.</p></li><li><p>Development and implementation of standards and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Preparation of structural analysis and test documentation.</p></li><li><p>Presentation of the results internally and to the customer.</p></li></ul><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Skills and Requirements<br></strong><br></p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical engineering or similar qualification.</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years of professional experience in the fields of static and dynamic&nbsp;analyses of spacecraft/launcher structures.<br></p></li><li><p>Practical experience using Altair HyperWorks and MSC/Simcenter Nastran is&nbsp;an advantage.</p></li><li><p>Basic proficiency with one or more programming languages such as Python&nbsp;and MATLAB.</p></li><li><p>Good written and verbal communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Organized, autonomous and attentive to detail.</p></li><li><p>Team player capable of integrating into a multicultural team.</p></li></ul><p><br><strong><br>What does ReOrbit do?</strong><br><br>ReOrbit builds the foundation for the next generation of space applications by&nbsp;transforming satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms, defined by&nbsp;software.<br><br>Our satellite design philosophy revolves around the idea that satellites&nbsp;must network, communicate with each other and thus improve mission&nbsp;efficiency.
