Avery Dennison is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious MBA Intern to join our Indirect Procurement team. This is a unique, high-impact role designed for a future leader with a proven track record of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. As a strategic procurement intern you will assume responsibility for a portfolio of either Professional Services or Freight spend, driving value and identifying strategic opportunities in a fast-paced environment. As a key component of our talent development strategy, this internship is an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to deliver significant business results. Your main responsibilities will be: Strategic Category Management : Take ownership of one or more categories such as Professional Services, Freight or other categories, engaging with key business stakeholders to understand their needs and analyze current spend patterns. High-Impact Project Leadership : Identify, scope, and lead 1-2 strategic projects focused on optimizing spend, generating measurable cost savings, or improving efficiency. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives and support on ad hoc business requests towards Procurement. Sourcing & Supplier Management : Lead RFX/tenders, negotiate contracts, and provide hands-on support for strategic projects as well as urgent supplier-related issues and ad-hoc requests. Process Improvement & Innovation : Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, leveraging data and strategic insights to enhance the team’s capabilities. Leadership Development : Actively participate in team meetings and initiatives, demonstrating a proactive, positive attitude and a hunger to grow in the organisation. The preferred start date is February 2nd, 2026 . The ideal candidate is available 4-5 days a week for 5-6 months . The location of the position is our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. The internship can be done remotely for up to 3 days per week.
What kind of candidate are we looking for? Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in a Dutch university Ability to navigate in an uncertain and ambiguous environment and work around data issues Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to extract data from stakeholders and systems, turn it into actionable insights, scope out projects and drive them with speed Very good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization A self-starter with a positive attitude, a high degree of proactiveness, and the ambition to succeed in a demanding role Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills Working knowledge of procurement systems like Ariba or SAP is a plus
