As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our financial and payment capabilities to make our platform even more efficient, reliable, and attractive for all participants in our ecosystem. To support this journey, we are looking for an experienced Lead / Head / Director Financial Products to join our Finance team and help shape the next phase of refurbed’s growth.
WHO YOU ARE:
Deep expertise in payments, lending, financial products, or structured financing.
Experience in building and scaling financial solutions in a fintech, or platform business.
Strong relationship and negotiation skills with banks, PSPs, and financial institutions.
Solid understanding of payment infrastructure, PSP management, and cross-border transaction flows.
Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, ablility to assess new opportunities and evaluate risk-return profiles.
Knowledge of FX management, treasury, or liquidity optimization is a plus.
Strong understanding of regulatory framework around PSP and Fintech and Banking is a plus.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Pragmatic, entrepreneurial, and hands-on mindset suited for a fast-paced growth environment.
Location & eligibility: This role is open to Europe-based candidates only with a valid right to work.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will take ownership of refurbed’s financial products and payment infrastructure agenda. You will design and implement solutions that improve the overall efficiency of financial flows, enhance the platform’s payment setup, and develop the right partnerships to scale Refurbed’s financial capabilities across markets.
- You’ll work closely with Finance, Product, Tech, Legal, and external partners to deliver solutions that are commercially sound, compliant, and scalable, enabling continued growth and operational excellence. This is a senior, hands-on position combining financial expertise, product understanding, and strong execution skills. Please find more details on the requirements below:
- Establish and manage partnerships with banks, PSPs, and financial service providers to enable innovative financial solutions and improve payment processes.
- Define and execute a long-term PSP strategy, ensuring a best-in-class, reliable, and cost-efficient setup across all markets.
- Build and present investment and funding cases for financing opportunities that support Refurbed’s growth and platform initiatives.
- Oversee the business and financial performance of new financial solutions ensuring scalability, profitability, and governance alignment.
- Evaluate and develop in-house payment capabilities and FX strategies where strategically relevant.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to design and deliver automated, compliant, and scalable financial solutions.
- Represent refurbed externally in negotiations with financial partners, institutions, and other key stakeholders.
