About this role

At JetBrains, our products are trusted by millions, and our nearly three thousand colleagues work from offices around the world. Protecting our people, workplaces, reputation, and operations is essential to our mission. We are seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Security to build and lead a global, intelligence-driven security function that safeguards our teams, leaders, and facilities - whether they are working onsite, traveling internationally, or representing JetBrains in the public sphere.

Responsibilities

  • As the Head of Corporate Security, you will define and drive JetBrains’ enterprise-wide security strategy. Your responsibility spans physical security, corporate threat intelligence, crisis readiness, investigations, executive protection, and global governance. Working closely with leaders across JetBrains, you will anticipate risks, shape preventive programs, and ensure a unified, high-standard security posture across all locations and operations.
  • You will:
  • Lead and Shape Our Security Strategy
  • Create and maintain a global corporate security strategy that supports our people and offices worldwide.
  • Set clear security standards, policies, and audits, so we operate consistently across regions.
  • Keep leadership informed with regular risk updates and security insights.
  • Stay Ahead of Threats
  • Build a lightweight but effective threat intelligence program to monitor geopolitical, reputational, and travel-related risks.
  • Oversee executive protection through smart planning, risk assessment, and travel safety.
  • Assess and manage security risks associated with vendors and partners.
  • Protect Our People and Spaces
  • Oversee physical security systems: access control, CCTV, visitor management, and secure office design.
  • Support safe events, business travel, and day-to-day operations across all offices.
  • Guide Crisis Response & Continuity
  • Maintain and evolve our crisis management and emergency response plans.
  • Partner with teams to strengthen business continuity and ensure we’re prepared for disruptions.
  • Lead Investigations & Incident Response
  • Manage internal investigations involving threats, fraud, leaks, or other security concerns.
  • Coordinate responses to serious security incidents and ensure clear follow-up.
  • Build Strong Partnerships
  • Work closely with Facilities, HR, Legal, IT Security, and Communications.
  • Maintain relationships with local authorities and key external partners.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years in corporate security, enterprise risk, or a related field.
  • Experience leading security programs across multiple countries.
  • Knowledge of threat assessment, crisis response, investigations, and physical security operations.
  • Strong English skills, comfortable communicating with teams and leaders across the company.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work across cultures and disciplines.
