As the Head of Retail, you will take full ownership of our high-performing Czechia retail business. Retail is a key focus for Wolt globally, and locally we are the clear market leader in the quick commerce sector. You will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategy for growth, focusing on strategic partnerships with large retail chains and local shops, optimizing venue performance, and ensuring continued retail revenue growth. You will have the freedom to execute and the responsibility to drive this business as if it were your own. Do you have experience in building and scaling retail operations? What you’ll be doing Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key leadership role and part of the Wolt Czechia Leadership Team. You’ll be responsible for defining and executing Wolt’s retail strategy across categories, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring our partners from national retail chains to local shops succeed on the platform. Day-to-day in this role you’ll: Drive and continuously evaluate the retail strategy for the Czech market, ensuring we maintain the best merchant portfolio and promotional activities. Oversee, improve, and ensure the efficient management of end-to-end sales processes (from lead generation to post-sales development) while providing excellent leadership to the local Sales, Operations, and Account Management teams. Take ownership of growing Wolt’s Retail business for both big retailers and local shops by ensuring merchant success. This will be done by creating tools, reports, and processes to help merchants launch and improve performance on our platform Evaluate the market potential - such as commission levels in each retail vertical, mapping potential new areas, identifying gaps in the venue portfolio, and developing plans to achieve targets Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns together with retail partners Continuously train and develop the whole local Retail team Our humble expectations You have demonstrated the ability to close partnerships with various company sizes (from C-level executives to small business owners) You've been leading both account management and sales acquisition teams successfully You've got experience as both a “hunter” closing deals and a “farmer” cultivating relationships and managing accounts You’re process-driven and proactive - you know how to build a solid end-to-end sales process, and you’re constantly looking for ways to improve You have demonstrated the ability to juggle multiple projects, and you know how to prioritize accordingly You have excellent analytical skills - such as translating data into actions, or analyzing sales metrics and producing relevant KPIs. You’re a self-starter with the willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to succeed Fluent language skills in Czech/Slovak and English are a must P&L experience is necessary as you’ll be responsible for owning your market
