We are now looking for an Accountant to join our Payments and Hedging team!
Responsibilities
- Execute external and internal payments in line with Valmet policies across three ERP systems.
- Create, validate, and process manual payment requests and forward them to the bank.
- Continuously enhance the payment process toward increased automation, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of cash forecasting.
- Take ownership of the global Valmet payment process.
- Perform accounts reconciliation, validate financial data, and prepare account specifications and reports.
- Identify and analyze requirements, gaps, and improvement needs in processes and solutions, supporting global change management activities.
- Collaborate proactively with Business Finance and other internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant field; a recognized accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Previous experience in payments, financial accounting, and reporting.
- Fluency in both Finnish and English; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
- Understanding Valmet's business model and ways of working is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problemsolving, and criticalthinking capabilities.
- Proactive, openminded approach with the ability to work independently in a fastpaced global environment.
