Responsibilities

• The International Packaging team at HelloFresh is responsible for shaping and optimizing packaging strategy, development, procurement, and operational performance across all markets. As part of our DNA, we are deeply data-driven and Packaging Data plays a critical role in steering cost, quality, sustainability and operational excellence.
• We are looking for a Senior BI Analyst to lead the Packaging Data pillar and elevate how data is used to drive decisions across Procurement, Operations, Culinary, FSQA, Analytics and local market teams.
• In this role, you will act as a strategic data partner to the business, transforming complex questions into scalable data products, actionable insights and forward-looking analytics that fuel continuous optimization. • Business Partnering & Strategic Impact
• Act as the primary data partner for the International Packaging team.
• Lead and develop the Packaging Data team (2 FTEs), setting clear priorities, fostering analytical excellence, and continuously evolving the Packaging Data roadmap in alignment with business priorities.
• Translate complex business challenges into structured analytical problems and deliver actionable, high-impact insights.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing transparency on cost drivers, operational performance, and packaging optimization opportunities.
• Present findings clearly and convincingly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation
• Conduct deep-dive and exploratory analyses across purchasing, SKU, operational, and complaint datasets to identify trends, risks, and performance levers.
• Develop and continuously refine KPIs to evaluate procurement efficiency, packaging quality, and cost performance.
• Analyze customer complaint trends and raw material indices to anticipate market developments and performance risks.
• Identify improvement opportunities across sourcing, quality, and supply chain operations through data-driven experimentation.
• Data Products & Automation
• Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards and automated reporting solutions (e.g., monthly reporting, procurement performance tracking).
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and scientists to develop robust, high-standard data products.
• Improve and optimize data pipelines, data structures, and reporting frameworks to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Drive automation of recurring analyses and reporting processes to increase team efficiency.
• AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement
• Identify, prioritize, and implement AI and advanced analytics use cases (e.g., predictive cost modeling, anomaly detection, complaint forecasting) that generate measurable business impact.
• Partner with Analytics and Engineering teams to bring scalable machine learning and automation solutions into the Packaging data landscape.
• Actively explore generative AI and automation tools to improve analytical workflows and business decision-making.
• Data Governance & Accuracy
• Ensure high data quality and integrity across packaging-related datasets.
• Support SKU data management and packaging price updates in ordering systems to ensure reliable budgeting and reporting.
• Establish clear documentation and transparency standards across Packaging Data processes.
• What you’ll bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience building dashboards in Tableau (or similar BI tools).
• Advanced skills in Google Workspace and/or MS Office tools; experience with automation tools (e.g., Google Apps Script, Python) is a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI and automation tools (e.g., machine learning models, predictive analytics, Generative AI tools) to enhance analytical workflows and drive smarter business decisions.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-changing, international environment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
