At IQM, we build world-leading quantum computers for the well-being of humankind. We design systems to tackle computational challenges beyond the practical limits of classical machines. Our work sits at the edge of science and engineering. It's complex, demanding, and deeply collaborative. We turn deep research into reliable, full-stack systems that drive discoveries in fields like medicine, energy, and technology, reshaping how the world computes.

The work
We are looking for a Quantum Control Software Engineer to join our Gates team, where software engineering, experimental physics, and quantum hardware development come together to enable high-fidelity quantum operations.
In this role, you will contribute to the research and development of single- and two-qubit gate implementations for superconducting quantum processors. You will develop software components and calibration routines that are critical for benchmarking, calibration automation, and quantum processor performance optimization-ultimately supporting IQM's roadmap toward large-scale quantum error correction.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantum control, scientific software development, and experimental quantum computing, contributing both to daily calibration workflows and long-term technical innovation.
