About the Role
In this role, you will be part of the Engineering and Projects business line, specifically the Radiation Safety and Environment team at Fortum HQ in Espoo, Finland. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Loviisa nuclear power plant and our co-owned nuclear fleet with tasks such as dose and dose rate assessments. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist Fortum's external customers and opportunities may arise to participate in R&D tasks and support our nuclear newbuild feasibility study.

To succeed in this role, you should have: A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as nuclear engineering, energy technology with a nuclear focus, physics, radiochemistry, or similar. Skills in radiation or aerosol physics, radiation safety design, and programming are highly valued. Knowledge of modeling software like MCNP is a plus but not required. Fluent spoken and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Finnish is a big plus. We are looking for a person who is willing to learn and also tackle complex problems but who is not afraid to ask for opinions and guidance when needed.
