Diagnostics Manager

to help shape and advance high‑quality, timely testing solutions across the oncology ecosystem.

Role purpose

As

Diagnostics Manager

, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, high‑quality in‑market companion diagnostics and testing solutions that enable optimal treatment throughout the patient journey.

You will develop strategic, long‑term partnerships with diagnostic laboratories, pathology services, and key clinical stakeholders, based on strong scientific expertise and a deep understanding of the oncology testing landscape. By identifying and addressing barriers within testing pathways, you will help ensure seamless access to diagnostic solutions that support AstraZeneca’s oncology portfolio and upcoming launches.

Your key responsibilities will include

Assess and evaluate testing options within the market, selecting and qualifying appropriate diagnostic partners and laboratories

Act as a credible scientific spokesperson for diagnostics at congresses, symposia and scientific meetings

Generate diagnostic‑related insights to inform national brand strategy and tactical plans

Monitor diagnostic performance and propose improvement actions where needed

Leverage medical evidence, real‑world data and epidemiology to support medical education and identify diagnostic evidence gaps

Deliver educational initiatives across meetings, congresses, workshops and digital channels

Ensure strict compliance with all external regulations and AstraZeneca policies

Ideal candidates will demonstrate

University degree in

Medicine, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, Medical Technology or related field

Solid experience across

oncology diagnostics, pathology and/or therapeutic roles

within the pharmaceutical or healthcare environment

Strong understanding of the

local oncology testing and diagnostic ecosystem

Proven ability to influence, engage and build trusted relationships with senior clinical and diagnostic stakeholders

Track record of successful collaboration within

cross‑functional teams

Strong analytical mindset combined with strategic thinking

Excellent project management skills and ability to work independently

Customer‑oriented, results‑driven, resilient and confident in decision‑making

Fluent in Romanian and very good command of

English
