RF Engineer
We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join our hardware engineering team and help design, characterize, and integrate radio-frequency subsystems used in advanced cryogenic and quantum hardware. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across simulation, test, and system integration to deliver high-performance RF solutions.
The role includes:
Design and prototype RF circuits and components for cryogenic and room-temperature environments
Run electromagnetic and circuit-level simulations (e.g., HFSS, CST, ADS, AWR, SPICE)
Characterize RF performance using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and time-domain instruments
Develop impedance-matching and filtering solutions for coaxial and planar interconnects
Troubleshoot the RF signal chain, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
Document design decisions, test plans, and results in engineering systems
Required skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience in designing and testing RF/microwave circuits
Proficiency with RF simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, AWR, Microwave Office, or similar)
Experience with RF measurement equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
Strong knowledge of transmission lines, S-parameters, impedance matching, and intermodulation
Fluency in professional English, spoken and written
Preferable skills:
Experience with cryogenic RF components and thermal considerations
Programming/scripting for test automation and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, or similar)
Knowledge of EMC/EMI mitigation and compliance testing
We are looking for someone who is:
Collaborative and hands-on, with a strong testing mindset and the ability to communicate clearly across simulation, lab work, and documentation. You take ownership of designs and help drive prototypes toward robust, reproducible pr
