Job Description:

Role purpose

Provide hands‑on operational support for the digital tools, data and reporting used to deliver global Product Safety and Hazard Communication activities. The role focuses on day‑to‑day system operation, data integrity, user support, testing and reporting to ensure Product Safety teams can produce accurate, compliant and timely documentation!

Key accountabilities

Product Safety Systems Operation:

Provide operational support for Product Safety and SDS authoring systems (e.g. Sphera IA or equivalent), ensuring tools are available, reliable and used consistently by global users.

Support routine system activities such as record creation, maintenance, corrections and controlled updates in line with defined processes.

User Support and Issue Resolution:

Act as a first point of contact for system‑related user queries, issues or errors, providing practical guidance and fix.

Bring up complex issues appropriately to senior systems specialists or Digital (IT) partners, supporting resolution through clear documentation and follow‑up.

Data Integrity and Information Management:

Maintain and validate product, substance and regulatory data used to generate SDSs, labels and related outputs.

Identify data quality issues, apply defined data standards and support corrective actions to ensure information remains accurate, complete and audit‑ready.

Testing and Change Support:

Support functional testing activities (UAT and regression testing) for system updates or changes, detailing results and identifying potential impacts to Product Safety outputs.

Assist with implementation of approved changes to systems, workflows or templates following deployment instructions.

Reporting and Operational Tracking:

Produce routine and ad‑hoc reports used by Product Safety teams and collaborators to monitor delivery, compliance status and system usage.

Maintain trackers and support transparency of work volumes, issues and resolution status.

Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement:

Maintain work instructions, user guidance and process documentation related to Product Safety systems.

Contribute ideas to improve system usability, simplify workflows, reduce rework and enhance data quality.

Essential education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science, Digital (IT) or business subject area appropriate to systems and data work.

Typically 3–5 years’ experience supporting regulated systems, data management, reporting or compliance delivery, ideally within a Product Safety, Hazard Communication or regulatory environment..

Operational support of Product Safety / SDS authoring systems

Product and regulatory data validation and management

Reporting and operational tracking

System testing and change support

Understanding of how systems enable compliant SDS and label outputs
