The Role and Impact

As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our firmware solutions, forming a critical foundation for Intel's cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities of Firmware Validation Engineer:

Design and develop software validation environments to test firmware functionality.

Create validation plans and associated methodologies to ensure comprehensive coverage of system and subsystem requirements.

Execute validation activities, analyze results, and debug failures to ensure functionality aligns with specifications.

Identify root causes of issues, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

Write and maintain validation standards, procedures, and documentation to uphold best practices.

Assess new validation methods, tools, and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of the validation process.

Provide support and expertise for customer-reported issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in software or firmware validation with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master's degree.
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on expertise in Python scripting for validation purposes.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills to identify and resolve complex firmware issues.
  • Familiarity with the software validation process and test scope planning.
  • Demonstrated capability in firmware debugging within complex hardware-software environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a disciplined approach to executing tasks.
  • Experience providing customer support and resolving firmware-related issues in real-world applications.
