We are looking for an IT Specialist with preferably hands-on experience in remote and onsite IT support, preferably with a background in OT environments and experience supporting laboratory systems and end-user IT needs.

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an IT Specialist with preferably hands-on experience in remote and onsite IT support, preferably with a background in OT environments and experience supporting laboratory systems and end-user IT needs.
  • You will work as an onsite IT support at Fermion's Hanko production site as well as IT system specialist in Laboratory IT and Plant Floor IT services, focusing on several systems that are critical to our operations. You will perform regular maintenance actions, issue resolution, changes and technical support for the IT systems in your responsibility area. The work is done in close cooperation with Fermion automation team, business administrators, other members of the Orion Information Management organization, infra service providers and application vendors.
  • An important part of your work is participating in development projects, where you act as an IT expert with the ability to see the big picture while maintaining focus on the details. As a member of a cross-functional project team, you will define user requirements, coordinate IT environment installations, support system integrations, troubleshoot technical issues and take part in testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide first-level IT and OT support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, chat, and in-person (walk-in support).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT assets.
  • Support IT and OT infrastructure in an industrial setting, including lab equipment.
  • Document and track incidents, service requests, and resolutions in an ITSM tool
  • Set up and maintain new user accounts and groups, access rights, and permissions following security policies.
  • Provide guidance and prepare IT policies, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection compliance.
  • Escalate complex issues to second- and third-line support teams while maintaining ownership of the user experience.
