Who is your future team?
We're a diverse team with a wide range of skills, experiences, and backgrounds, united by a shared enthusiasm for software development. We develop and maintain the firmware of the Intercom products in the Axis portfolio. Our team is growing and we are now looking for two new team members that will be working on our reader solution.
What you will do here as an Experienced Embedded Software Developer
Your main tasks will be to develop our reader functionality, both implementing new features and maintaining existing ones. You will work in a team of five software developers, with colleagues also focusing on this area. Secure development practices such as threat modeling are important to us and will be part of your daily work.
Another important aspect is everyone in the team works on their continuous learning and innovation. This is important to us, and time is set aside for it. Maybe you will be the one coming up with a cool new feature for our intercoms, a new area to explore or a more efficient way of working.
Who are you?
We believe you are a team player, can drive technical direction, and have good communication skills. You might know a few programming languages and work comfortably with C++. We also believe you have lots of curiosity and love problem solving together with your team. At Axis, we place a high degree of confidence in our engineers, and as one of them, you'll have a significant impact on the development of our features.
We'd love to hear that you have:
Practical knowledge of C++17/C++20
Experience in collaborative software development
Experience in security-conscious development (threat modeling, secure coding, defensive programming)
Able to design software using software design principles, design patterns, and document the design
One of the following: Understanding RFID LF standards - NFC, APDU, DESFire, etc.
Understanding of BLE technolog
