Ship Machinery Lead Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Ship Machinery Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership and strengthen the professional competence of our engineering team. In this role, you will act as the key technical authority, support team development, and contribute to high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and subject-matter expert within the ship machinery discipline.
- Develop, standardize, and document engineering methods and best practices.
- Share knowledge, coach team members, and support their professional growth.
- Support onboarding and development of new employees.
- Assist sales with technical input and project budgeting.
- Act as Project Manager on suitable ship machinery projects.
- Work closely with the Department Head on training needs and team development.
- What We’re Looking For
- High-level expertise in ship machinery and piping systems.
- Typically, 6 – 8+ years of relevant engineering experience and a proven track record.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Structured, proactive, and self-motivated working style.
- Positive, encouraging leadership approach.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
