Senior Financial Reporting Accountant with Spanish.

The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant ensures high‑quality, timely financial reporting for the Spanish entity, covering group, management, and statutory requirements. The role ensures compliance with IFRS and Spanish statutory regulations, provides accounting guidance on complex transactions, and supports strong governance and internal control frameworks. Acting as a key partner to the Iberia Country Controller, the role contributes to continuous improvement of R2R processes and financial compliance.

What you will be doing?

Coordinate all statutory obligations for the Spanish entity, including tax payments and filings, in collaboration with external advisors.

Prepare annual financial statements and support internal and external audits together with the Iberia Country Controller.

Lead month‑end closing activities, reviewing and improving account reconciliations, and proactively identifying risks and issues.

Act as the main point of contact for ad‑hoc accounting queries, providing clear variance analysis and explanations to Group Accounting.

Ensure consistent application of IFRS and Group Accounting policies for the Spanish entity, including complex or non‑standard transactions.

Support budget uploads, system enhancements, and automation initiatives within R2R.

Prepare, execute, and document internal control activities in line with SOX and internal policies.

What will you need to be successful?

Master’s degree in Economics or Finance.

8+ years of experience, preferably in Financial Reporting.

Fluency in English and Spanish (C1) ; Portuguese is a plus.

SAP FI experience required.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the local and group stakeholders.

Decision-making ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
