đŸ§‘đŸ»â€đŸ’» About the role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

The Guest Experience (GX) tribe focuses on hotel guests, their data and their experiences. We are a multi-disciplinary organization that balances design, product, and engineering to bring a remarkable experience to travelers and hotel guests. Our vision is a world in which hotels have more time for guests, and guests have uniquely personalized experiences they love. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build remarkable guest experiences. This is a full-stack role. We expect engineers to be comfortable working in both our backend (C#/.NET on Azure) and frontend (React + TypeScript), taking features from API design through to UI implementation, as well as contributing to quality assurance.

You'll be part of a team building the future of hospitality technology in a pre-IPO environment with significant growth opportunities.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

Own and evolve features supporting superlative guest experiences and features, such as Booking Engine, Guest Portal, Digital Key, Kiosk and more.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Take end-to-end ownership of your work, from design and development to production and operational quality.

Ensure high standards of quality, usability, performance, reliability, observability and security.

Develop backend services using .NET Core and deploy on Azure using services such as App Service, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Redis, and others.

Develop front-end applications using React & Redux, JavaScript & TypeScript.

Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code with a strong focus on long-term quality.

Review code thoughtfully, learn from feedback, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by constructively challenging technical decisions and the team’s way of working.

Care about the technical health of the product, proactively proposing improvements and using AI tools effectively in your day-to-day work.

Work remotely with a high degree of autonomy, taking responsibility for clear, effective communication.

Innovate and execute solutions on a daily basis, working on initiatives using a wide range of technologies.

Learn and contribute in multiple technologies, reducing dependencies and enabling faster, more frictionless development.

Take ownership of projects and gradually take ownership of some part of the product.

Take part in on-call / incident rotations to keep our GX surface stable and reliableYou won’t be siloed into “just backend” or “just frontend.” You’ll own problems end-to-end.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:
