About the job Cryogenic Engineer
Are you the engaged Cryogenic Engineer who will drive the next generation of SCALINQ's quantum hardware? You will together with the team develop the full cryogenic hardware lifecycle—from simulation to experimental testing. You'll solve complex challenges in low-temperature physics and provide the critical simulation feedback that shapes our technology roadmap. Required Skills:
Fundamental understanding of low-temperature physics and cryogenic systems.
Good experience with SolidWorks Thermal, COMSOL Multiphysics or a similar thermal simulation software.
Advanced skills in Python or MATLAB for data handling, analysis, and model automation.
Ability to participate in experimental testing towards verification of simulation.
Ability to use simulation results to guide hardware development.
Ability to troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with design and test teams.
Team player who initiates a collaborative environment.
A drive to stay updated on the latest advancements in relevant technologies and computational modeling techniques and applying solutions across fields.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
A M.S. in a relevant field (e.g., Physics, Materials Science, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience in a technical simulation role.
Preferable Skills (Good to Have):
Ability to design experiments towards verification of simulation results.
Practical, hands-on experience with cryogenic refrigerators.
Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Ansys).
Familiarity with the challenges of integrating RF/microwave components in cryogenic environments.
