Site Manager

Do you want to build new business at the very heart of the circular economy? Do you have a solid understanding of recycled materials and waste management processes, strong project management skills, and the drive to build and lead a growing operation?

We are now looking for a Site Manager to take overall responsibility for the development and growth of the Peittoonkorpi landfill site in Pori. In this role, you will assess the opportunities enabled by the site’s environmental permit, develop business-supporting processes based on those opportunities, initiate operations at the site, and lead related construction projects. Your key objective is to ensure that recycled materials can be utilized at the landfill area in an efficient, responsible, and profitable manner.

Once operations have been established, you will be responsible for managing the Peittoonkorpi business in line with Stena Recycling’s strategy and targets, as well as supporting and training the wider organization in landfill-related business activities. As the business grows, you will also build your own team at the Peittoonkorpi site.

During the first year, the role requires on-site presence in Pori and occasional travel within Finland and to Sweden. After operations are up and running, the role can also be based at another Stena Recycling location, while maintaining regular presence at the Peittoonkorpi site.

What we expect from you?

Proven experience in project management

An understanding of the circular economy and the utilization of recycled materials

Experience from a relevant field, for example within the circular economy, recycling, waste management or civil engineering

Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and manage new and complex business areas

Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset

Excellent Finnish and English skills

A degree in engineering or other relevant educational background

Previous leadership and sales experience are considered an
