Supplier Development Engineer, Vaasa, Helsinki or Turku

We are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer who will focus will on ensuring technical quality and driving performance improvements across the supply chain. We expect you to have strong experience of iron and aluminium casting and machining technologies and manufacturing processes.

Work tasks

Managing new product introduction and leading proactive quality assurance activities for castings manufacturing and machining.

Analysing supplier performance and capabilities, identifying development opportunities and driving impactful development actions.

Developing and executing supplier development action plans to improve supplier performance.

Supporting suppliers with their operational development initiatives in relation to quality, delivery and cost.

Executing supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier development action plan and verifying impact.

We are looking for

Advanced knowledge of iron and aluminium casting and machining technologies, and manufacturing processes

Good understanding of quality management processes

Excellent communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams

Advanced problem-solving skills and a systematic way of working

Fluency in English, both verbal and written

Willingness to travel
