Global Fund Services is seeking a

Mutual Funds Specialist

to join our Contact Center team. In this role, you’ll support shareholders, institutional clients, and broker/dealers by providing accurate information, processing mutual fund transactions, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

This position is ideal for individuals who have a background in the investment industry—or education in financial markets—and who enjoy helping investors understand their accounts and the products they hold.

What You’ll Do

Process a wide range of mutual fund transactions

, including new account setups, purchases, redemptions, exchanges, and account maintenance—while meeting accuracy and productivity standards.

Respond to inbound calls

from shareholders, institutional clients, and broker/dealers, providing clear guidance on account activity and mutual fund‑related questions.

Analyze and correct transactions

, including trade cancellations, account updates, and pricing‑related adjustments.

Support conversion and liquidation activities

, ensuring data accuracy throughout each process.

Research and resolve shareholder requests

in accordance with SEC, STA, and internal policy requirements.

Explain investment concepts

to callers, including:

What mutual funds are and why investors may choose them

How mutual fund performance is evaluated

Portfolio holdings and how they relate to a fund’s objectives

The differences among IRA types and how they function

Schedule & Location

Hours:

Monday–Friday, rotating schedule between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM (CT)

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field,
  • or
  • relevant work experience
  • Minimum two years of related work experience, such as accounting/financial transactions and customer service
  • Strongly Preferred
  • Prior experience in the investment industry
  • or education related to financial markets
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Mutual funds
  • and their purpose as an investment vehicle
  • IRA account types
  • and how they differ
  • Mutual fund performance
  • , portfolio holdings, and fund objectives
  • Ability to explain how a fund’s structure and strategy relate to the shareholder’s investment
  • Functional understanding of the roles of
  • portfolio managers
  • and
  • investment advisors
  • , and how to interact professionally with both
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Solid math and computer skills

  • This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week following the fully onsite training period.
